The 3rd Formosa Pour-Over Championship has just come to a close. Since taking the championship title in the very first edition, our stellar role-model student, Blues (Hong-Qi Chen), has gone on to launch his own brand, "Mr. Bean Bean" (豆荳先生) in Muzha, embarking on his entrepreneurial coffee journey.
Always driven to hone his craft, Blues is perhaps the engineer student who has taken the most coffee courses here at Green Stone. From the Batch 2 Roasting Course back in 2017 to the present, he has completed L2 Pour-Over, L3 Pour-Over, L2 Syphon, L2 Sensory, and L2 Espresso. The only thing he hasn’t pursued is an international certificate course!
Yet, this only proves that dedicating himself to Green Stone’s hands-on, step-by-step curriculum has made his brewing skills increasingly solid, refined, and consistent. In this 3rd championship, his ability to skillfully pair different drippers to bring out the finest, most delicious qualities in diverse beans was truly remarkable.
An extraordinary achievement indeed!
